Emla cream

Active Ingredients:

• Lidocaine 2.5%
• Prilocaine 2.5%

Purpose: To numb the surface of the skin prior to needle sticks or other painful procedures.

Usage:

• Before needle insertion (e.g., injections or blood tests)
• Minor skin operations
• Certain types of skin grafts
• Cleansing and debridement of leg ulcers
• Medical procedures such as wart removal

Directions: Apply a thick layer to intact skin and cover with an occlusive dressing. The numbing effect begins approximately one hour after application.
