Product Description – Vitamin B6 Injection
Vitamin B6 injection (pyridoxine) is essential for protein metabolism, energy production, and normal nervous system function. Involved in nearly 60 enzyme systems in the body, Vitamin B6 is crucial for normal growth, red blood cell synthesis, and vitamin B12 absorption.
Indications and Usage
Pyridoxine Hydrochloride Injection is indicated for treating pyridoxine deficiency caused by:
- Inadequate dietary intake
- Drug-induced deficiencies (e.g., isoniazid, oral contraceptives)
- Inborn errors of metabolism (e.g., vitamin B6-dependent convulsions or B6-responsive anemia)
- Situations where oral administration is not feasible (e.g., anorexia, nausea, pre-op, GI absorption issues)
Features and Benefits
This injection supports energy production and helps combat fatigue and weakness by boosting metabolism. It is particularly useful when combined with Vitamin B12 for those following keto or weight-loss regimens. It is GMO-free and contributes to:
- Neurotransmitter production (serotonin, dopamine)
- Immune support through antibody synthesis
- Hormonal balance, aiding PMS symptom relief
- Cardiovascular health by lowering homocysteine
- Healthy skin maintenance

Contraindications
Do not use in individuals with hypersensitivity to pyridoxine or any ingredient in the formulation.
Precautions
Isolated pyridoxine deficiency is rare; usually occurs alongside other deficiencies due to poor diet. Patients using levodopa should avoid >5 mg/day of pyridoxine. Oral contraceptive use may increase vitamin B6 requirements.
Drug Interactions
Pyridoxine can antagonize levodopa. However, it is safe to use in combination with carbidopa-levodopa formulations.
Use in Pregnancy (Category A)
Pyridoxine needs are elevated during pregnancy. It is often used to manage nausea and vomiting during pregnancy under medical supervision.
Nursing Mothers
Pyridoxine requirements are also increased during lactation. Although it is unknown whether it is excreted in human milk, caution is advised.
Pediatric Use
Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established.
Adverse Reactions
Reported adverse reactions include paresthesia, somnolence, and decreased serum folic acid levels.
